Online Music Courses on Articulate 360
Many elementary students struggle with diverse levels of music theory knowledge. I created a 45-minute online Basic Music Theory course to harmonize these differences with engaging, interactive lessons on notes, rhythms, scales, and chords. Using videos, flashcards, and quizzes, it prepares students for formal music curricula, making learning fun and effective.
Date
Target Users
2024
Grade 4-6 elementary school students
Tools Used

Learning Analytics and AI
Discourse Analytics
This project analyzes comments from Perusall readings using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. This involves loading the data, tokenizing text, cleaning the data, creating n-grams, and performing TF-IDF analysis. The aim is to explore word usage, identify key terms, and conduct sentiment analysis.

Learning Analytics and AI
Predictive Analytics of Student Performance
This project focuses on predicting student performance using data from two schools related to Math and Portuguese language subjects. The data includes various predictors such as grades, demographic information, and school-related attributes. The goal is to develop and evaluate different predictive models (linear regression, logistic regression, decision tree, and random forest) to forecast final grades and identify students at risk of failing.

Learning Analytics and AI
Descriptive Analytics of Reading Behaviors
This project involves an in-depth analysis of reading behaviors concerning two academic papers, Selwyn and Wise. Using data derived from CSV files on page visits, comments, and annotations, the project aims to provide insights into reading patterns and contribution quality. The final report includes both graphical visualizations and textual interpretations of the data, assessing how students interacted with the readings in terms of time, attention, and annotation quality.

Learning Analytics and AI
Social Network and Pattern Analysis
This project focuses on analyzing conversation patterns from Perusall readings by constructing network graphs for each reading. The goal is to explore how students interacted through comments, replies, and upvotes. The assignment involves creating network visualizations using Gephi, analyzing the conversation structures across different readings, and generating insights based on the interactions between students.

UniPath: One-Stop App for University Resources
This thesis project presents “UniPath”, an AI-driven app designed to enhance university student support services by centralizing academic, career, and mental health resources. Drawing from personal experiences and extensive research, this paper investigates the primary challenges students face in accessing fragmented and decentralized support resources in higher education and the potential of AI to enhance personalized support. Findings highlight the significance of a centralized support system, the benefits of integrating AI-driven insights, and the importance of user-friendly technology. The proposed solution, UniPath, seeks to streamline access to these resources, improve student experiences, and inform best practices in higher education support services.
